If that’s what you would prefer to do then that’s fine by us. Or, if you’d rather not that’s fine too! We feed all our own dogs Alpha Sensitive Chicken and Rice Dried Dog Food, and that’s what your pet can enjoy as well. Over the years we have found that Alpha Sensitive tickles the taste buds and keeps stomachs settled.
We encourage our customers to bring a couple of favourite toys and a bed or blanket. This is so your dog has some familiar sights and smells and hopefully makes their kennel feel more like home when they come for their holiday at Studforth.
All of the dogs in our kennels are walked or taken into the release paddocks on their own. This enables us to have one on one time with your dog, and to form a friendship that will make their stay at the kennels an exciting and enjoyable one.
We have many different walks at Studforth; ranging from gentle garden strolls for the elderly, to woodland and water side walks for the more adventurous. We also have two, 3 acre fully fenced release paddocks where we can let your dog off the lead to explore!
It’s completely up to you! If you think your dog will be fine with us off a lead, and know that’s what they like best then we would get to know your dog over the first couple of days and once we’ve made that all important bond, we’d let them off to really stretch their legs in one of the fully fenced release paddocks.
While your dog is out on their morning and afternoon walks, Caron will hover and mop their kennel, refresh their water and make their bed so they come back to a clean and tidy home.
“We’ve been using Studforth kennels for approximately 12 years now. We have always been more than happy with the service provided, the staff are very knowledgeable and competent, I know that my dog will be kept safe and well cared for no matter whether she stays for a weekend or a month. I would recommend Studforth Boarding Kennels to any dog owner.”
